I found this very difficult and frustrating because this slideshow is NOT what I chose to publish!Although I like this NASA picture, I tried twice with two different slideshows to post to my blog and NASA popped up both times...I give up, NASA wins!

I have experienced instant messaging on Facebook- I'm a slow typer,but try to respond when friends pop up. It's enjoyable, but communicating via the computer isn't a high priority with me.Seems like I have too many other things to do!

What fun! I'm excited about LibraryThing, and look forward to using it to help with book recommendations for patrons and to help me stay current with upcoming publications.

I use Wikipedia sometimes to get a quick look at information,but don't rely on it's absolute accuracy because of the open editing feature. As to the wiki sites listed in thing #12, I liked the first one listed the best- used it to link to several interesting sites.

I think sharing photos online is wonderful! I'm inspired by viewing other people's travel photos and look forward to sharing mine.

Thing #5 took ALOT of time, and I'd still be working on it if I hadn't had the help of a friend who took pity on dumb ol' me. I hope this will get easier, or I just may have to hang it up... The only upside was getting to relive my visit to Delphi in 2005 by looking at all the beautiful photos.

I used Technorati and Ice Rocket for a search of "UK'S ROYAL FAMILY" and found interesting but very different information. I'm excited to learn about all the different search engines available and plan to continue to explore them.

Thing #2 of Library 2.0

I'm participating in 23 Things to educate myself so that I may better serve our patrons. After all, isn't this the purpose of libraries- to serve the public to the best of our abilities? If my abilities are limited, then my service will be limited as well.
